Cooking for Christmas day for me started 24 night, baking cakes, pastries and pre-roasting chicken, turkey and fish. I slept around 1 am, in an African or lets say Nigerian home Christmas celebration is no joke because families and friends come together to eat, laugh and take pictures. Everyone kind of woke up around 9 am on Christmas day to open presents, I got a lovely gift from master chef kitchen collection which i loved considering that am about having my own kitchen. After that
, we continued with cooking, here is a list of the temptations we made:
- Pasta with home made pesto
- Red velvet cake
- Garlic knots and garlic bread
- Real Nigerian stew with beef and chicken
- Roasted turkey
- White rice
- Mushroom sauce
- Tilapia Fish
- Salad
- Biscuits and chocolate
- Spring rolls
- Samosa
Well during the family lunch (no one thinks about breakfast during Christmas lol) my baby told me he got me chocolate for Christmas, i was like "you got to be kidding me, i don't like or eat Chocolate ". Well after some long emotional words from him while i open the chocolate box, I saw another little box inside the chocolate box...... he popped the question: Will you marry me (in my mind i was like, about time love, its been like 3 years). Well my answer was YES.....it was sooo emotional.....here is a picture

The rest is history, well around 6 pm we (the family) went to a family friend's and the food there was beyond and also every family that came brough loads of food. The lunch i had (little pasta with salad) got me filled that i was uncomfortable. I was expected to eat again just to show respect to the people we went to see. I managed to shovel salad and piece of turkey down my mouth. Came back home around 3 am and bounced on the bed......and off i slept, that's how my Christmas day went
